Hi, everyone...

I'm a relatively new user to the APBA Forum, but am frustrated that posts in threads are posted in chronological order rather than posting the newest addition to the thread first. What needs to be done to make that happen?

Unread messages are posted in chronological order. Very few people would want to read message threads in reverse order. If you are new to a forum or only visit once in a long while, you might want to limit the visible messages to a few latest (which you can control by the menu dropdown at the left), but reading in reverse (newest first) makes no sense for a continuing thread.

Then why do newest posts appear first here?

What about having an option as some sites do, i.e., being able to select the order in which a person prefers to see messages?

You will always see unread posts in any forum, but they will be in chronological order for each thread, usually beginning with the the most recently posted in thread, but show the oldest unread message in each thread first. Then other unread threads in the same folder follow. When all unread threads in a folder are done, it goes on to the next folder and its threads. Forum hosts with Delphi Plus accounts can control which folders show first, but it does not affect the order in each thread. A given folder may have multiple unread threads in it, and it will show the unread thread with the newest posts first. It is the same in every forum.
