Posting images from elsewhere is different than the copy/paste text we're talking about here.

Actually, I can not because it is in my private folder.

I have always been able to do a copy and paste even from my private folders.

I only use Firefox. I do not like chrome or edge. So I will not use either one.

I see how it works from the public folder. The editor uses the address at fotki it doesn't make a copy. It wouldn't work for a private folder since each time someone looks at the message they have to look in that folder.  Being logged in at fotki  may make a difference?

I had been able to copy and paste even with my private folders. I guess that I will just have to wait for the next browser update in order for me to do a copy and paste again. :(

Maybe I could reach Firefox powers that be to see if they could expedite a fix.

Try it when you are logged in at fotki at the same time you're doing a message here and see what happens.

In the meantime you can always use a copy you have on your computer.

One day it will work again like it used to.

I really do not have a big enough hard drive to save images in a 256 SD hard drive. I am used to a 1 terabyte but I can not save all those images on my hard drive like I used to. :( The newer PC's only comes with these oh-so-small hard drives now. :(

Can you make a public folder and move the images to it to post?

The private folders are tags people had made for me. If I move them to the public folder I would have to rename all of them to indicate the copyright.

I do not have time for that so I made them private.
