What constitutes a view? General Information

I have a thread in the Strat-o-Matic game forum, and I'm keeping an eye on how many views I get. If I make a new post, does that count as a view?
(Yeah, a little full of myself here. Sorry - I'm at 10,900 views and that boggles my mind a bit.)

Anytime any part of the discussion loads it add another view. When you add a message it first loads the discussion.
