block posts to me   Navigating Delphi Forums

Poke around in whatever email program you usually use. You can even do an online search for it "How to block or filter certain email with____"

I subscribe to a ton of forums, some that are my own and many that are not and I get notifications from those as well as posts to me. Any I don't need to see I just check off in a batch and delete, unopened and not read. Personally, I'd do that with hers. There is no mechanism to prevent someone from posting to you.

Thanks, I'll try and work this into my email program (Thunderbird).

Kid, doesn’t the Ignore choice work anymore?

Bountyman, sorry it didnt work for you!

Plus and Extra members can receive full text notifications and those still come through dispite the ignore.

I haven’t used it (thunderbird) in a while, if you figure it out can you post the solution, please and thank you.

I'm using an older version, 13.0.1

1. Right click on the From in the email
2. Choose: Create Filter From
3. Type in a filter name of your choice
4. Select: Match any of the following
5. Select "contains" from the center drop down
6. Under Perform these actions: choose what you would like to do with the email where is says Move message to...
7. Click on "OK"

Is that where you added the name of the forum? It is still letting your other notifications through?

The "name" of where the email comes from is in the next box. If you use it will stop everything from Delphi. I use that filter for other spam email.

OK I will try this out tonight when I fire up ole bessy.

Ah, that explains it....seems odd though. Ignore should be ignore, not ignore some of the time. Ah, well, I tried.
