Make sure you are in Classic, not Zeta, View and scroll to the bottom of the left column and check Manage Discussions. Then check one or more message threads you want to delete, scroll back to the top, and select Delete from the drop-down menu there. Check Confirm and then click Go. Try it out on a small scale first.

I don't know if this is the place to ask this. I'm on the horse racing forum and we had a spammer take over the board and 

My thread I started got deleted by accident, Is there an archive or anyway to recover it ?

Sorry, deletions are permanent, can't be recovered. 

Best way to prevent spammers is to put the forum on moderation for new members, that way their messages never show to cause problems.
