They have more comedies than dramas.

a Junior edition. I don't think
that did so well, when So You
Think You Can Dance, tried that.

That's true. The junior edition of So You Think You Can Dance was not successful. Dancing with the Stars will probably do better for a couple of reasons: 1) It's airing during the Fall; and 2) Young celebrities will presumably pull in a larger audience. On the down side, I actually think it's a mistake to air the junior edition at the same time as the regular edition. I think they would be better off running them one after the other, like ABC does with The Bachelor.

Unlike the current athletes edition, which is only 4 weeks long, the juniors will be 10 episodes just like the regular show. But one big difference with the junior edition is that it will be pre-taped (no live shows) in order to work around the kids' schedules.
