Surviving in modern times

Hosted by HWPeeler (HPeeler)

My immediate family has a plan of a survivalist camp. More than outdoor survivalist things, but planning to survive modern potential catastrophes. Not finding one on-line like it I attempt here to describe our objectives.

Ah, Star Wars, episode one. The junk yard of old star ship assemblies. Not just a collection of defective assemblies but a repair station. Defective assemblies are obtained for pennies on the dollar, repaired and sold at high retail value depending on the rarity of that assembly.

I can see much the same going on in a dystopian world. New items are not being manufactured. Repaired items have a value higher than original.

The ability to repair becomes a valuable commodity.
