I feel we are getting too tech happy; there is almost no need to leave the house anymore.. we can work at home (in a lot of cases), shop from home, have groceries delivered, and some areas even have UBER deliver restaurant food!

I see people glued to their gadgets all over, at restaurants I see people ignore others at their table all glued to their gadgets texting.   Worse yet, people text/talk on phones while driving, skateboarding and riding bicycles and walking down the sidewalk, not paying attention to their surroundings.

somewhere else in the forums i mentioned a pair of workers whose work stations were right next to each other who used to email or text each other rather than talk to each other all the time.

half the time in a public place you hear someone say Hi and they are not talking to you but rather to  their phone

oh i will answer hello usually then get embarrassed.

what i think is funny is when someone starts talking into the conversation and the conversation turns out to be something they are not involved in--planning a whole dinner or something
