Please forgive the messages to all, I don't want to reply to everyone and end up with a whole stretch of the thread being just Peter says this and Peter says that... though it would be a great way to boost my post count... hmmm...

Thank you all so much and I can't tell you how happy it makes me to have inspired people like this. When I was having my meetings with Disney people leading up to the job I felt like a covert Toughpigs operative, or something sleuthy and fun like that.

I mentioned both Tough Pigs and the Muppet Wiki in my first big meeting with the production designer, and he was very interested in TP and in Muppet sites in general, and everyone I spoke to in the production was very clear that their goal was to bring the Muppets back in the right way, for the fans first, and kids and new audiences second.

They were already using the Wiki thoroughly for research.

Well done Peter!! That's an amazing story!

It seems that your art is on display the the El Capitan theatre?

Also that Piggy and Kermit look like the WDW Parade puppets. And hey look at these new plushes! purple tux Gonzo!

Well those plushes look more like $5 than $8... But WOW! How fun is it that my painting is up at that exhibition! I guess it's off the wall of the head office and into exhibited Disney art, which leads to.. sniff... archived Disney art.

But it's getting a fine outing here, and knowing it's in the film is really a fine feathered feeling!

By the way, I found that comment I made (as Muppet Wiki) on the official Miss Piggy Facebook feed. This was about a week before I knew the painting was by you.

Click "View previous comments" and search for Muppet Wiki.

Just in case the post can't be reached later:

Miss Piggy: Which of moi’s glamorous outfits was your favorite in The Muppets? If you’re anything like me—and don’t you wish you were--you won’t be able to choose! They’re all tres fabulous, just like moi!

Muppet Wiki: I liked the red dress in the painting Kermit looks at hidden under a blanket in the mansion.

Not sharp enough to realize that the synapses that fired off in my brain in those two moments were the same as those that light up when I see your work when I know it's yours.

Every time I see this thread I keep hoping that Peter Savieri and The Muppets is the title of a new Muppet television special.
