This is not just a nice article about the exhibit, but also a good article about Jim Henson.

Yes! I heard this announced when I attended Jim Henson Con (a rather small event) at the Seattle Public Library in May. I'm moving soon, so I have to keep poking my friends to make someone go with me!

Jim Henson Con? That's a thing?

It was... a small thing. Maybe 100 guests? But for that size, I was thoroughly satisfied with it; librarians know how to curate a good event. There were displays of Henson- and Muppet-themed books, a raffle, performances by local puppeteers, a Labyrinth sing-a-long, craft tables, and special guest speaker Karen Prell, which fulfilled my lifelong dream of meeting a Fraggle. I hope it will come to be known as the first annual Jim Henson Con!

That's so nice! I'd love it if there was a bigger version of that.

Huh. I am not sure I would have been able to go, but I would have liked to know about it. Oh well. I live in Longview, WA and definitely need to get to the museum exhibit. Do people know when it closes?

It's scheduled to run at MoPOP until January 3rd, but I have been hearing rumors of a possible extension.

Our own Julia Gaskill went to check out this exhibition, and told us all about it (and took lots of photos)!
