A question of remarkable minutia: Does anyone know whether the Nearly 35th Anniversary Blu-ray & DVD editions of The Muppet Movie includes the Jim Henson Pictures logo (with Kermit at the camera) before the movie starts?

All the post-buyout prints have it, yes.

I suspected, but I wasn't sure.  Thanks!

I watched that a few months ago with my stepson, and was astonished to see the logo still there! Even though Disney didn't make it, they only distributed it, I figured that post-buyout, they would try to keep the branding consistent. (After all, all ITC logos had to be removed for later airings and home video.) So I was happily surprised to see that they retained the JHC logo.

Incidentally, it's the "Kermit at the camera" logo from MFS, not the "Kermit drawn by some sort of CGI bug" logo from MCC.

The "Kermit at the camera" logo from MFS ends with him almost crashing though, doesn't it? While the TMM version is a smoother version without the crash.

It's odd that Henson added it to TMM anyway since it obviously wasn't attached to the theatrical print.

Someday I hope we get proper HD rescans of the Henson trilogy without any DNR and cropping.

Yeah, the crash was cut out, but I think it's the same footage. Anyway, I just meant it's not the animated logo.

It's a shame; I thought the crashing thing was a funny, Muppety touch.

Yeah, I agree. I loved the crash, and when I saw it removed (on this and other movies), I thought it was a mistake.

So was it only the Muppets From Space version that had the crash and Animal saying "Sorry...?"

Elmo in Grouchland has it too, only without Animal's vocal cameo.
