Locally known as der Kölner Dom. Very impressive , I been on top of it many times, they made go on field trips in school. Long winding spiral concrete steps, seems like it took forever to get up there.
Hi George - Do you live in Cologne?
No. I was born there and grew up there. I live in Florida
How long ago did you immigrate?
I've visited a dozen cathedrals in GB and Europe - because I am fascinated by the architecture. But I can't look at, or enter, any one of those structures without fretting about how they were all built on the backs of starving, deluded peasants who had but one hope in life - to get to "heaven."
