Still active as automated, now a park, it was manned and active at that time in association with a LORAN station.  In the distance to the East were the US Virgin Islands.

An interesting light, in grossly sad condition, last I was there in the 1963 period  it was an operating light with a small crew living there, wildly isolated and no water other than rain and barged in supplements.  Built of cast iron and steel work imported from Europe by the contractor for the Spanish.
