Hi lads  what is the cruising  speed on a 1100 v star  . Is 80mph too  much or will it run all day  at that speed  with no bother . Thanks for  your imput

Looks like they redid the site here ... looks nice.

I made several longer trips on my Star and we would run 75-80 all day long.   These bikes like the higher rev's.   It will take a bit out of you after running like that for while but it will do just fine.

Also, the mileage goes down quite a bit cruising at 75-80. Just keep that in mind so you can pace out your gas stops.

I went to Oregon from Tucson Az. (twice)  in June at 110+ deg. I went all the way through Nevada  with no problems Vegas to Reno running at 80-85 mph all day long, fully packed to camp, no issues, though it does get a little buzzy being it runs at at higher rev's but the engine don't care & you just get used to it.
