I'm busy changing tires ,brakes, cleaning up chrome, motor oil, final drive oil, etc.my question is what is the slotted screw cap (chrome) I assume it's for drive shaft engagement, how is it done? No info in the usual places, maybe called transfer case?any procedure to do would be appreciated,2002 1100 classic.vstar.

If it's the slotted plug on the side of the left hand case cover....that is for checking timing. You need to download the Shop Manual in the Knowledge Base......it's all in there.
