Need new plugs.  Have 139,000 miles, original engine and decided to do my own maintenance again.  Any suggestions?

Autolite and NGK

Here is a cross reference for NGK to Autolite plugs: These numbers and brands are here for reference only.

Yamaha recommends the BPR7ES in your V Star 1100

NGK AUTOLITE

BPR7ES (5534) = 62 STOCK PLUG

BPR6ES (7131) = 63

BPR6ES (7131) = 64

BPR5ES (7734) = 65 HOTTER PLUG

Note: The R means it is a resistor plug - in a pinch you can get by without the resistor, unless you have or plan to run electronics.

That's 1 plug for Autolite... 1 plug for NGK and a lost spark with either!!!  Now I'm all duel fired up........( ; ))

Good to see you here Donn.... How's that HD with the comfy 'Queen seat' doing? Say hi to the fine lady that graces it for me.

I put NGK Iridium IX Plug Number 4055 Spark Plug (bpr7eix) in mines.  It works good for me, and  this 1 step hotter.
