Dead Front Cylinder   Technical-Bikes

After a long storage period this year, I went to start up my 2000 vstar 1100 classic, to find only the rear cylinder firing. My initial response was to clean the carbs and after getting that done, the problem remained the same, a dead front cylinder. I'm now leaning toward an electrical issue, possibly the ignition coil for the front cylinder not producing a hot enough spark. Any other ideas  would be greatly appreciated.

Check the spark plug cap/wire terminal. Take the guts out of it with a small screwdriver and look for corrosion. Don't loose the little parts.

Checked the spark plug cap on both the front (#2) and Rear(#1), cleaned and removed any corrosion no matter how slight. I then check the spark on the plugs and that proved to be satisfactory. As a last resort I put in fresh gas now sure that the issue wasn't electrical. After some sputter the engine came to life and ran on both cylinders. Thanks to everyone who pitched in their 2 cents and helped with ideas and suggestions.
