Finally got a chance to pull my carbs. Best I can tell, the jets read:

10.6

17.5

42

or some facsimile

What jets are supposed to be in the stock 1100with stock pipes? Bike had straight pipes when I got it and I put stock exhausts back on it .It floods and fouls plugs really badly. Hoping it is the jets but don’t know what is supposed to be in it.

After reading “carb jet setup” I probably have the wrong numbers on the jets....but that is what it looked like.....LOL

17.5 sounds right for the pilots........ depending on your set up. No need to mess with the air bleeds. The mains could be a brand other than mikuni, those numbers don't even look close.

After studying the miniature numbers, I think that may just say 106. Still trying to decipher the other one

I would spend 20 bucks and get some Mikuni jets of the proper size.

so the stock size for 1100 mains 112.5 front --110. rear.. 17.5 pilots ... your probably running dyna jet or something like that .. order new ones from Yamaha.. for the best result..

Eureka!

I just noticed after all this time that the jets are reversed in the carbs. Small- large/ large- small

can someone post a diagram of which jet is in which location so I can get this right?

here is a link to what you need ... the jetting bible page 12 ....  https://sites.google.com/site/vstar1100kb/home/tuning/carb-jetting .. not sure if you've ever seen this .. it was put together by use and used as the holy grail to the 1100 everything has been tried and true..

I have seen and used that site. What I need now is a picture of the bottom end of the carb with the bowl off and the jets labeled as to which one is which. Any ideas?
