Does one turn on PMS screw equal to one size change on the main jet?

No. they have no correlation.

After rejetting sync the carbs and then do a lean drop to adjust the PMS and resync. Don't forget to have idle set at 950-1050 rpm.

#2 Idle to slow when cold and to fast when warm.. Both happen after the pod kit was installed

Why not just set the idle at operating temperature and use the "choke" while warming up. In days of old when everything was carburated that was standard procedure.

Yes, that how I do it. Just seems to go higher after about 15 min. later.live in s. calif. so it don't get cold here.

UPDATE 1/15/2021  Turning PMS screw out to 3.5 turns from 2.5 turns stop the idle problem.

the new problem is popping backfire though carbs when taking off from a stop. only does it one time in 10 starts.

thinking maybe the throttle position sensor or out of adjustment?

or it still lean cause of the poping. because I have not changed the main jets yet?

Changing the mains for pods is absolutely and totally mandatory.

You need to jet it properly for Pods!

While you are changing to the appropriate jets you will have an opportunity to address your issue with the "choke".
