Greetings,
A couple questions about fork oil. How often do most people change it? What, if any, advantage is there to 15w vs 10w? What about synthetic?
Thanks,
JDE

I found 15 to be a bit stiff......and 10 to be a little sloppy. So I mixed 10w and 15w 50/50 and like it right there. I change it every few years depending on mileage. I usually tear down the forks completely and do sliders and seals at the same time. I've never tried the synthetic stuff, so can't comment there.

Your fork oil like any other oil loses viscosity, absorbs water etc. I service my forks and brakes every 2 years.
