Thanks, i appreciate it.

My friend is a newbie. He is transitioning from dirt rider to street rider. Maybe this is a universal yamaha question. His gas warning light blinks constantly, even right after fueling .  any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Unfortunately forums aren't as popular as they once where. I bet there is a Face Book group but most of those are a joke. I would suggest a service manual and diagnose away.

I've never used You Tube for tech help. That could be a reliable as face Book. Nothing beats a printed service manual.

Yup, Yeah just can't beat a hardcopy Manual if you're our age.

It's certainly no substitute for the manual but can be very helpful. Photos and diagrams can sometimes be indecipherable. Some members of the forum have posted some very useful videos. By our age I assume you mean about 70 so that includes me. Yes, it's true you can't beat a hard copy manual but you can increase your understanding by watching what others do right or wrong. If all we needed is a book there would be no need for this forum.

Our own KB links to a number of videos.
