440 cams are installed with 157.5 mains and dragons breath.. The vent hose is about 8 inches long and I have the end of it  slant cut. I installed a Dyna 3000 but I had this problem before I installed it. Bike ran good before the cam install and main jet change. I have a tach mounted on the handle bars. Could it be a partially clogged fuel filter?

Yes to the Dyna settings.  I emailed him but have not heard back yet.  I am going to change fuel filter and maybe check the carb needles.   I sent my carbs off to Tim a few years ago and he installed the Dragons breath for me. I am not sure of the needle  shims  he set it at or the pilot jets. It seems to be a problem when I give it full throttle. Runs great at the low and mid range.

The  bike Just sat over the winter with fuel stanbalizer.  I  had it out a few times before the cam install a few months ago  and it ran great.

I know you said the vent hose was cut at angle ... I do remember a couple of guys that did that and they ended up having to tie the hose up under there tank and it cleared up trouble.   Not saying this is the cause but would be something easy to try.  Timm

Thanks RC. I will try that next. I am  doing the lean drop and synching the carbs tonight and then for another test ride.
