I've always just used good car wash soap.
For a quick wipe down on paint and chrome I use foaming glass cleaner. If you can still find a coin op car wash you can use it to blast the greasy stuff off the bottom. Just be careful where you get the high pressure spray. Avoid wheel bearings, brake parts, etc.
If you can locate this stuff it's just a wipe on wipe off. It will shine the paint, Chrome, Aluminum, Glass. It dries almost as soon as you wipe it on. Then just shine it up with a microfiber cloth. $30 for the small bottle is a crap price, we give about €50 for a gallon and there is normally a deal of something going for free. Shake the thing to death then use sparingly.
Thanks. It sounds like a very efficient cleaner/shiner. I am more concerned about the engine/exhaust cleaner, and degreaser. So, the other recommendation like s-100 cleaner (suggested on different forum) is more on the target. I guess I need a bit more research.
