Hi

i was wondering if anyone knows which replacement clutch kit is the best. I read up on Barnett clutch plates the fibers are not of the best quality. My thoughts are using OEM Yamaha clutch plates and steel rings and a Barnett pressure plate with the 42 pound springs. Would love to hear everyone’s experience and opinions. Thank you in advance. I have 37k miles on my bike and feel like a clutch change is needed with a symptom I’m having. Thank you again.

You nailed it. OEM plates and the Barnett Pressure plate.

Sweet. Thank you for the input. I’ve done a lot of research and found the Barnett clutch plates suck.
thx again.

I did this with new oem clutch plates and barnett plate . works good but you still have to do the bottom clutch adjustment all the time to stop it from slipping. just so you know this.

I had the barnett clutch and OEM plates with Pods and Cams and never had to mess with the bottom after initial setup.

How long did it take for the adjustments after the installation of the oem plates and Barnett spring unit. Thx.
