Some good info there, It never crossed my mind to leave it connected and hiding elsewhere.
But will be going resistor way just to get rid of them, as one of the pins had broken and been repaired and im thinking the repair may not last.

Somewhere in here there are instructions to make your own. I did it some years ago and it was not a big deal. Just find some plugs that fit and the appropriate resistor. Splice it into the line with some shrink wrap and it's done. I do'nt remember the specs on the resistor but I remember buying a package of twenty or so for about five or ten bucks. If I find them I'll let you know.
