2006 vstar 1100 classic:
Hello all, Im curious if anyone has done, or has input on replacing the inner bearing on the drive shaft/middle gear assembly. The case is already split, and I was able to get the middle gear assembly out (total pain) but now I’m wondering about the bearing inside the case. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on getting this bearing out? It’s number 12 in the diagram.

Oh no, what have I done! HAHA thanks for the reply. Just so others are aware, the tools needs to rebuild/repair the middle drive gears are no longer availale/produced according to yamaha so if you end up needing work done in that area good luck!

I did the easy repair on mine over 10 years ago, and like hundreds of others that have done it that way....I've never had an issue with it.
