Mick , my name is Dana. I've followed you for several years and have great respect for your knowledge of the vstar. I'm currently trying to get bike together after cleaning carbs I've replaced my o rings and cleaned all jets, .I can get bike to run pretty well but have fuel pooling in #1 boot, I can you give me any direction I've got float adjusted at about 12mm above bowl surface have replaced o ring on seat valve. Can't see any leaks when I blow air thru my fuel tube. I'm a 64 year old grandma that just wants to get my bike back on the road. I've been trying to figure this out for a while now as I want to fix it and understand  it myself as I plan on riding till I can't. Thanks for any help you can offer me.

There may be some minor fuel residue in the boots even when correctly adjusted.

Check your PMS setting using the "lean drop" method outlined in the Knowledge Base. If that has been set, it may be a faulty needle/set.

Let me know and good luck......we need to get that thing up and going....

Thanks Mick, I ordered a new set last night, I don't want to ride it with the excess fuel in the boot, I'm afraid it will break down my oil.I need to get on my computer at work and try to navigate this site I'm a little lost.
