I wish for the same.  It sounds like she will be okay.

A soft tissue injury, either a tendon or Suspensory is harder to rehab and recover from than broken bones. It would likely be a total of six months starting with stall rest, then hand walk then turnout before finally starting back to being ridden. You always have to be diligent with them afterwards as they can flare up at a moment’s notice.

I look forward to seeing her babies but I am sad no more racing I think she could have been a great race mare.

Bodexpress retired due to an injury--- though the type of injury was not disclosed.

I will miss him---- he certainly got a lot of fan attention!!!!

This is disappointing. Enjoy retirement Bode! I hope they can find a farm to stand him at stud.

After the race they said Pegasus was the next one, So he cooled out ok. My thought is a chip or small fracture of some sort. It would take too long to rehab for a successful return at 5 years.

I’m trying to remember the race, don’t remember seeing anything off in winners circle. Maybe he got a fracture and injured the soft tissue surrounding it? Wishing him well!!!
