Seems like yesterday we were cheering Ouiji Board on to her great wins.  Cannot believe she was 21.  We have Australia to continue on with;  not many great race mares produce fine racers.  My sympathy to Lord Derby and his family and all those who loved and cared for her.  Rest in peace Ouiji Board.

She was one of my favorite mares to watch run and her connections never ducked a race because of who she may run against. Run Free Quija

Byk and Powell are just now saying the same thing in their comments about Ouija.  Lord Darby just loved her and wanted her to race all competition no matter where it was.

This is really nice hearing from Fallon and Dettori.  Their agreement that she was the best filly they both rode says a lot about her brilliance.  She was really something.

I am posting this in two parts: I warn you ahead of time- this poor horse is an example of pure abuse.  This horse could have had a different life if only someone had cared - but they didn't. The initial trainer wanted to keep this quirky horse but the owner took him away from her and from there this poor animal drifted around until he finally died. The picture of his injuries is horrid.

This part tells you the history of this horse- his life could have been so different- it brings me to tears, what happened to him.
