Poor young Joseph. He'll be living that one over and over in his head for a long time....

Yes, Encke really turned it on at the finish.

I'm sure you're right.  A TC eludes again.

shoot - the distance would not have been a problem.
I'm thinking jockey error - anyone?

I didn't feel good about Camelot's position in the race and he ended up having too much to do.  That was some kick Ecnke had today and may have been devastating even if Camelot was closer.  Did you see how fast Encke got to the lead?  Wow.

Once again the Triple Crown racing gods pulled another custard pie out of their sleeves.

I'll go back and rewatch it - but i need a moment (sniff)

Bloodhorse should have it up soon....they said Encke won by 2 lengths? looked like 3/4 from where I was sitting

Not Jockey fault as much as the way the race setup. He was in the first post position and the pace was not that great, he had to wait a little bit longer than was optimum for the front runners to open up a hole for him and then it was too late.

Thanks - that's a big help -  looked like he was right there with Encke but didn't ask him until way after Barzelona asked Encke

ETA
I didn't realize Encke was the longest longshot - 33-1? wow...
