I'm starting this thread so we can post news and events of these disciplines. Feel free to post when you have info!
I'll be posting updates on Burghley's Horse Trials in England, where the USA have the top 2 spots after dressage. Originally I posted it on the Olympic thread, so here are the top ten after dressage

you can watch video of the dressage here;

Sinead and Tate in first place after dressage--their dressage "wasn't good enough" to make the Olympic team. Good luck tomorrow in CC.
And Arthur in second--an alternate for the Olympics. Good luck to them and for the others from the USA tomorrow.

Sinead and Tate gave it their all today, but I guess first place jitters got to them, they had 3 rails down and finished in 2nd, but what an awesome event for them!!! Congrats to Sinead and Tate!! Allison and Arthur finished 6th. :-)

It is very exciting to be following these guys. I have been working on cantering during my last 2 lessons...I am riding a wonderfully patient quarter/paint...who has been putting up with beginning riders for years. Gave him a bath and the full treatment after our lesson and some carrots too. Still working on balance etc. before going back to the Holsteiner I was having trouble keeping moving etc. :0)

And not so WOOHOO, Heartbreak Hill (who on your link is listed as "Retired XC") was euthanized following following a breakdown on the course. I can't help but wonder the status of the other 15 that are listed as "Retired XC".

Edited to add "closed parenthesis" in line 1.

I hadn't read anything about the horses on xcountry.....there are some that have falls and breakdowns, but they are usually listed in an article....I will go back to the Horse and Hound, and check to see if anymore had injuries.......been at work all day, so I'm just catching up.......
