Well they get to pick a Dynaformer for either type, depending on their mare....I remember when I had my Irish Setter bred, I had my choice of a confirmation or a field setter, by the same dam, I think, best of both worlds and which you wanted to produce. I'm excited about Lenny and Amercain, can't wait to see those first foals!

I love the big smile on the handler who has Toby's Corner in that first picture.  Wishing him the best.

Awwww I love Toby!  Will miss him, he was a fun horse to be around when I was down @ Fair Hill.  Looks like he will have a good life though!

More on Calumet and I like what I'm reading.  And I wonder if they'll move English Channel from Lanes End to Calumet.

Classic Hopes in Calumet's Renewal

...the acquisition of Americain, who will fall heir to a number of mares purchased specifically to be sent to his sire. These moves do not suggest someone who is looking either for profits in the sale ring or a quick return on investment at the track. What they do suggest is that Kelley is serious about breeding horses that can recapture Calumet's glory days in the mid-20th century. And that means horses with the stamina, soundness, and speed to capture Triple Crown races, the top weight-for-age races, and major handicaps.
