A very interesting story about the dam of Rich Strike: Gold Strike-- It seems after she foaled Rich Strike she has not been able to get in foal so they are doing some things to try and get her pregnant. Not sure I agree with all of that, but in any event, she was a pretty good race horse in her own right.

Altho mares certainly do produce foals into their twenties, I wish they would not use repro specialists to try and get Gold Strike in foal at her age. Let her remain as she was.

Champion Mare Winx Misses to Snitzel, Given Time Off
Australian champion mare Winx has missed to Arrowfield Stud sire Snitzel this breeding season and will not produce a foal in 2023. She produced her first live foal, a filly by Pierro, this past October.
