American breeders have a short memory- they forgot Sunday Silence did not have a fashionable pedigree and the Japanese got the last laugh: His blood flows through many of these great Japanese horses! I absolutely loved watchng MYB racing and am glad he is having success now

Sid Fernando spoke about the Yoshidas on Byk today. He said that when the elder Yoshida died he bequeathed a stallion station to each of his three sons. At least two of these stud farms house between 600 and 700 mares. They are Shaddai and North. Knew it was a big operation, but had no idea it was this vast. The family also acquired many European mares, not just some of our superior race mares. Their long range plans are really paying off.
