Baffert runners finish 1-2 in the Sham Stakes. Authentic left the gate, went into a high cruising speed and never looked back. Authentic did run a bit green in the stretch but still much the best! Azul Coast was in behind horses, took dirt in his face and opened up in the stretch to finish a nice 2nd.

Yes, I was watching. Baffert thinks maybe blinkers, heard the Drayden said it was crowd noise that caused the spook.

Yes that is probably not a bad idea, but it was only his second race and first time around 2 turns.
