I was very happy for Honor AP. What an imposing horse!
Baffert: He has an embarrassment of riches in his barn. It feels like every other trainer is the "little guy" by comparison (although, I am sure that is not true) ;-) It is amazing how Baffert looked liked his barn was going to be unstoppable a month ago, and now... wow. You are right. It was a bad week for Bob.

I love Honor A.P. and love his daddy too!!!
It would be nice to see him in the Derby since his daddy could not run in the Derby cause he was injured!!!
It is kinda hard to feel bad for Bob as he always has an embarrassment of riches in his barn. But his bad luck this week with Nadal, Charlatan and Authentic ( losing)- make you realize how difficult it is these days especially, to keep a horse healthy through the triple crown races-- So many horses through the years have been injured on that trail and others who did race in the triple crown races were never the same.

Cindy: I know you will love this article: Discusses Honor A.P. and his awesome pedigree: lots of emphasis on his daddy Honor Code, A.P. Indy and Seattle Slew as well. Great article. Very enjoyable read!!!

Hi - is there a link? I would love to read it! I am interested in Slew these days.
The OTTB I adopted in January is descended from Seattle Slew top and bottom. Top through an A. P. Indy. mare bred to Storm Cat. So that line goes back through Terlingua and Secretariat. His sire is Bluegrass Cat who was 2nd in Barbaro's Derby.
And bottom his second dam is from a Slew mare bred to Unbridled's Song. He has Slew's coloring and his head is similar.
