Classic! Nobody pressed Knicks Go so he had the front end all to himself. Set reasonable fractions and goes Gate to Wire! 
Medina Spirit was game to finish 2nd, Essential Quality finished 3rd, Hot Rod Charlie 4th and pretty straight!

Not quite as expected, but what a way to go into retirement for Knicks Go!!!

Happy for Paynter and his connections too!

The Jockeys knew that taking the pace to Knicks Go was going to be the death of them and their horses. So KG gets to set a fair but not blistering pace and is able to go gate to wire. Perhaps if the stretch was longer MS is able to catch him, but we will never know.

Do we know where he is going to stand stud?

 Me too- I love Paynter- Cox should be trainer of the year- it is amazing how he turned this horse around!

 I was a little surprised that Medina Spirit was not closer to KG in early on in the race-- Medina Spirit ran a good race too- he should be three year old Eclipse winner this year IMO-- he has danced every dance ---
