I think they may expect to have reversal at Churchill, but also there will be more prep races coming up and if things don’t change at Churchill they still have time to move horses?

Part of me feels that they may forgo the Derby to stay with Baffert, they can still go to the Preakness and Belmont. Plus other important races. The horses still earn the purse money and the prestige of winning these prep races.

The last two preps for the Derby are 50 points for the winner and then 100 points for the winner,” Wolf said. “We’d know by then if the horse was a contender for the Derby. (Then) we’d have to go to Plan B, I guess.”
Publicly, at least, Bob Baffert remains focused on Plan A.
"We're just going to let the process play itself out and not think about this now," he said after Corniche's victory last Friday. "The main thing is to keep 'em healthy and have 'em ready for the next dance."

I think he’s going to end up winning his NYRA case. There are currently only 2 medication violations they can use and neither holds any suspension time, only fines.

I think they are hoping that the Kentucky Derby Issue would be resolved by this. At the most if he is found to have Betamethasone in his system and the rule in KY is a 14 day suspension not a 2 year suspension.
You do know that the 2 Lidocaine positives from Oaklawn were reversed and Bob was found to not be guilty because other horses that same day tested positive and the investigation found it to be contamination from a track worker not Jimmy Barnes.

Yes, I do know about the Oak Lawn reversal. But I don’t think the Churchill suspension can be reversed by anyone but Churchill?
