The HBPA is really fighting this, though they had decades to do what HISA is doing and they are fighting it the whole way. I do not understand why.

Me either. They say their owners don’t want to pay more vet fees, but if you want safety of the horses that is needed(maybe these owners should be thoroughly vetted themselves?). Mad because they’ve taken away meds and procedures, then send those horses to the farm so you can use them, making sure they are healed before returning them to the track! Maybe these 3 should combine their stables into one so they can keep costs down??
They just don’t want anyone looking over their shoulders, too bad, it’s not about YOU, it’s the HORSE!

One if left to conclude, for these people who are so resistant to changing the industry to protect horses, that it is not about the horse for them. It is about $$$$$$$$
