Not speed figures, but upgrading/downgrading stakes races for 2023. It baffles me why they do this…..

It’s all done by a convoluted system that looks at the horses that run in the race and what their times are and where they sit in with others of their age etc. 

So if only the b teams show up to the race then it can be downgraded. Also any turf race that is moved to dirt because of rain automatically is downgraded.
