Getting this info to y'all before the sun goes down!  This month's 501c3 is the Troy Animal Rescue Project.  They take credit card or PayPal or you can phone in a donation directly to the vet clinic they use.  A unique donation method that cuts out the middle man!  Below is link to their easy Donate button and also mailing address for their veterinarian's office. I made my $25 donation to Troy Animal Clinic by Paypal.  They have so many beautiful pets looking for forever homes. Makes me sad. My two rescue kitties, Tally and Tiny, that I adopted in February after my husband died, are both thriving. We all love each other and have helped each other out so much. I'm so grateful for them!

The 12 deaths at Churchill Downs are incredibly sad. I just pray that shutting down somehow helps stop this tragedy from happening again.

Thank you, Tricia.  It's always heartbreaking to look at all the animals in need of homes.  And there does not seem to be a let up in that need.  

So happy you adopted Tally and Tiny.  Those fuzzy little feet and purrs provide a comfort so many don't realize exists.  Wish you could share a picture of them here!

I don't understand what has happened at Churchill Downs.  Many years ago, it was Santa Anita I believe that went thru a period like this one.  They redid their track.  There are so many factors involved and even though there's no way to make anything 100% safe, they must make some changes.

I tried to donate by clicking on the donate button- then you have the option of paypal or credit card- clicked on both and it would not work. I tried earlier this month-- and gave up- tried again this morning. Can't figure it out.!!!!

Well June is almost over and I’m just now donating to this month’s rescue. Sorry I’m so late but I just sent my donation through PayPal.

Sorry you're having a problem with the donate link.  I just went back to it and got straight thru to the paypal site.  Sometimes all this technology just decides to go rogue and not cooperate!!
