RIP Manicomio, fell in the stretch in the 4th race at Laurel, was euthanized on the track.:( my condolences to his connections.:(

Thank you for letting me know.  I saw the race and the breakdown looked bad.  Since I follow the Include line horses it was really sad to me and he was running so well with ears up until the end.  Did the TVG commentators mention his fate or did you learn it elsewhere?   I stayed on that channel for a little while and then went back to NYRA, etc.  Rest in Peace beautiful Manicomio.

No read the chart on Equibase . It looked like he   Faltered on left foreleg, trying to catch himself with right and went down, my guess sesamoid in both front? He has run 9 times this year, this trainer claimed him last out, but race before that he was eased in stretch, so I think something amiss there although he finished strongly on claimed race. I was worried about jock as he was rolled/ stepped on, but TVG said he was up and walking around jocks room, don’t know if he’s off mounts later or not.

Last race at Aqueduct yesterday, Genetic Gem bumped horse next to her out of the gate, stumbled and broke her pelvis, it was her first start, how terribly sad. My condolences to her connections. (I did not see this race, just came across this tweet today)

Saw this race and she was out of the picture immediately.  Chart notes said something like rear was frozen so I didn't know what occurred with her.  So heartbreaking;  didn't know this was her first race.  May she run in the Lord's meadows now.

What a great producer she was for WinStar.  Wish Paulick Report could have used a photo of her instead of Bluegrass Cat in their announcement of her loss.  Thank you to Bloodhorse for finding an image of this beautiful and great mare.  May she rest in peace.
