Whenever I see Man o’ War in a pedigree, I am reminded of this powerful anonymous ode:

Thundering hooves and the mad jammed race, blood in the nostrils, sweat in the face.

And children, remember wherever you are, you carry the blood of Man o’ War.”

Loved going through those images today. There were several I had not seen before, mainly the photos of Man o' War as a youngster. The one with Mahubah in the photo was exciting to see!

Is always interesting that his birthday is March 29 and Secretariat is March 30. So Happy Birthday Secretariat, also.

Thank you. I am tickled to share a birthday with Man o' War. Here is the poem about Man o' War that I love most, it is posted near his grave at the KHP.

Speed they never learn.

And it's many a day since Man o' War

Has looped the upper turn.

The guineas stopped their rubbing,

The rider dropped his tack

When the word went round that Man o' War

Was coming on the track.
