Thoroughbred Charities of America will honor Maggi Moss with the Allaire du Pont Leadership Award and Second Stride with the Ellen and Herb Moelis Industry Service Award at the 33rd Annual Stallion Season Auction Jan. 8 at Grand Reserve in Lexington.

A site to raise funds to support baby Max Merryman, who was born prematurely at 24 weeks and is expected to be hospitalized in a neonatal intensive care unit in Boston for several months at a minimum and then will require significant aftercare.

Who doesn't believe many of the owners know what drugs their horses are being given? I guess it is harder to charge and convict owners.

A sad day, we will not see the Fox Hill silks anymore . I hope Rick’s son start to race more horses.
The horse, Royal Ship, is a 7-year-old Midshipman gelding out of the Val Royal mare Bela Val. He has recorded 8-2-5 in 20 starts with $690,905 in career earnings. He was bred by Haras Belmont and is trained by Richard Mandella.

The Drama continues, I feel bad for the buyers who are being dragged into this and have to spend money to fight the suit.
In Kentucky's highest court, MGG Enterprises is seeking the right to recoup sales proceeds from the buyers of several Zayat Stables horses and shares of American Pharoah. Those buyers are some of the most prominent names in the Thoroughbred industry.

Yes I feel bad for the buyers, but is MGG just being greedy, or trying to cover the fact they were slacking in keeping tabs on horses they invested toward? Most businesses seem accept what they’re given in dispersals and sales thru bankruptcy?

The problem is that Zayat sold horses prior to the bankruptcy and MGG never received the money from those sales. They are claiming that they had liens on the horses, however the sales companies and hence the buyers do not have to abide by the liens per State Ordinance, so shame on MGG for not knowing the law in regards to animals and liens.
