An immaculately put-together colt by Curlin descending from one of the premier families in the studbook was hammered down for $3.65 million as the Fasig-Tipton Florida Sale neared its conclusion Wednesday afternoon. Donato Lanni and Jamie McCalmont reportedly signed the ticket on behalf of Coolmore and an undisclosed partnership, but he will reportedly be trained by Bob Baffert.

I saw some photos on twitter of the Curlin colt hip 173 that was the sales topper and OMG he is something.
This Steve Byk podcast I am linking is a good listen when you have time. It starts out talking about the unbelievable bidding war on the colt and then John Sikura of Hill 'n' Dale goes on to talk about the state of the racing and recent events. A good listen:
