I saw the interview with Mr.Mandella,  Omaha’s trainer who  was not overly disappointed.  He talked  about the slight stumble at the beginning getting OH off to a slow start, but the fact she ran from back of the pack to second showed her talent.  However, i think the track was not kind to late runners as SisterCharlie encountered the same problem, falling behind early and not beong able to catch up. I think these races have many variables ,and no one win or loss can really define the level of a horse’s abilities.  I forsee Omaha Beach  as having future successes, and hope he is not retired at the end of 2019!
