Shooting Star Thoroughbreds' Chance It was scratched Feb. 29 from the Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2), the day's feature at Gulfstream Park.

That ride by on Ete Indien reminded me of the way he rode Gun Runner in the 2018 Pegasus World Cup. Also broke from post 10 that day (in a 12-horse field) with short run to turn. "Same thing, same technique," he told me. "But the horse needs to cooperate."

He rode a great race. Once again proving that a horse on an uncontested lead can be dangerous. He was able to slow Ete down a bit and then kicked away from the field early to win in an easy margin.
