 I am in my car listening to a 60s music station on Sirius radio

The host of the programs all of a sudden has breaking news about Bob Baffert

whouda thunk it?  and the he says Baffert was suspended for giving Medina Spirit a

Performance Enhancing drug.  ---: therin lies the problem

to the mainstream he is a doper

I know, misinformation seems to be the going trend the past couple of years.....

This makes me so mad! Mainstream media just tells us what they want not the truth.

Well, I found the name of the disc jockey who I heard discuss this case (his name is Pat St. John)  and I sent him an Email advising him that betamethasone is not a performance enhancing drug.  Guess what? he answered my email--- He said he didn't use Baffert's name and that he got this information from the Today show (spreading misinformation as well)-- I sent him an email back and thanked him for his response-- I was pleasantly surprised he responded at all.  I asked him to clear this up for his listeners (which I am sure he won't)!!!!

Surprised he replied, but he’s not a true journalist if he’s not checking his sources or subject matter.......

WOW............thank you for trying to clarify with him............surprised, too, that he responded. and agree with your response about him.

  I think he is a decent guy: he is a disc jockey- not a journalist- and I was shocked to hear him even mention Medina Spirit as I was listening to 60's music on Sirius---- I think it is important to try and educate  people when you can--- After I responded to his email he emailed me back and said he was sorry to have spread misinformation. I think he is a pretty decent sort.

I think Baffert's punishment is mostly political. There was a very long and powerful article on "The Blood Sport" in the New Yorker a couple of weeks ago. It was well researched and balanced (as every read in the New Yorker is) ; but it did not paint a pretty picture , and it's just one example of  the attitude toward the sport that is growing.

That said, I guess, sort of in his defense, at Baffert's level, there is no room for the tiniest "oops" in medications. 

yes...........sounds like it.......as most people nowadays don't bother or care and for sure do not apologize............sure he will be more careful
