Roger Scruton said it best - japanese_ogre

Democratic western countries do not go to war among each other in their own country, but he missed to say, unless you got Killary followers...

Judicial independence is the rule of laws?

By common sense some people are rather gloomy about the future of the rule of law; however I do not share their doubt. The caution which has been exercised following the publication of the bureaucracy by the community, including the legal profession, particularly the Bar, is hopeful and uplifting. As well supposed, eternal alertness is the price of liberty. In these contentious times, it is all the more important for the rule of law to remain the unshakeable foundation of our society.

Alongside all facts, I wonder if any of the countries where they do not have laws that gives people some form of democracy or adequate protect for their right - don't know what they don't have or losing in the first place.

Sociocracy another form of democratic system of governance based on consent decision making, circle organization, and double-linked representation.

Plato's Ancient 'Democracy' does not apply in the third world with authoritarian laws- we all know that pretty well, people only try on perpetual effort...

Plato: The Failure of Democracy

Historians like to quote A. N. Whitehead who said:

"The safest general characterization of the European philosophical

tradition is that it consists of a series of footnotes to Plato."

When CITIZENS actually need to talk about democracy; the rule of law is to accept those that they might have abhorrence and they should be able to criticize them without creating a war to reverse opposed and conflicting ideas.

Just my two 'pennies' worth of thought smirk

Roger Scruton will have a very hard time to find anyone in the Middle East thinking along his peaceful train of thought.

We do know that most of the citizens go by emotional and choleric outburst, revengeful mentality and act to these condition with crushing and violent deeds.

Roger Scruton is the master of thoughts.

There's nothing universal within the Middle East and its vicinity within their religious conviction with brings up a lot of conflicts and offensive behaviours.

Unfortunately banning video documentaries happens all the time in North American sites, it absolutely intimidates people away and often people don't bother to say anything anymore...
