Well there is actually, planets form in nebulae with their parent stars (most often binary) and are then ‘ejected’ as seed systems including planetary debris that forms a ring around the star. They are called ‘tadpoles.’ Some are lost to space of course. Some clump together while others are more gaseous than rocky. There are many details to be filled but Genesis was very specific about the process for earth, a rocky planet.
